Last night I prayed again to God: How do I know when it’s you speaking and not the “father of lies”? I know the enemy is cunning and yet I’ve still walked down paths I thought were from my Savior, but in the end didn’t lead to Father’s sanctuary.
“Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper. When Elijah heard it, he pulled his cloak over his face and went out and stood at the mouth of the cave.” 1 Kings 19: 11-13
One must quiet their soul enough to hear, because God is in the quiet connections.
Something remembered and then found.
A silent prayer answered.
The right words at the right time.
Tension to peace.
I’m going to go into my inner room more often and pray quiet prayers to God.
I want to hear His whispers.
